The Following are my First Printed Cartoons in Newspapers within Kentucky... Having that Humble Beginning in the University of Kentucky's Student Newspaper called The Kentucky Kernel. Click Each Image for a Link to the Original Publication.
PLEASE NOTE: When I first began to draw for papers, I didn't argue or question the content that the editors would ask from me.
I was just happy to be able to see my work in print.
Now, and after learning that I did in fact have some creative control over the content of my work, I have made it my policy to
not draw any editorials against coal. This doesn't mean that I agree with every policy the coal corporations exercise,
but I believe that the views expressed in that argument are totally one sided for the people against coal.
Therefore, I no longer agree to produce cartoons that are totally against the production of coal. This is a personal decision based on my
own views. YES... I believe there is an answer to that dilemma somewhere in the middle of both sides opinions.
